NOTD: Spring Pastels!

In an attempt to make Spring arrive sooner (it was snowing earlier today here, I wasn't pleased), I painted my nails a bunch of pastel cream shades, colours that make me think of eggs and bunnies and chicks and chocolate and easter grass. I'm rather pleased with the outcome, tell me what you think!

Outside (COLD! Sorry about the red dry hands, it was freezing- literally)

L-R: Eyeko Vintage, Orly Kiss the Bride, OPI Rumple's Wiggin, Joe Fresh Butter, Eyeko Pastel
Anyone else dying for spring to start? I just want to change out of my winter jacket! The only pastel shade I'm missing is an orange, anyone have any suggestions for a pastel orange cream polish? :D

NOTD: Orly Kiss The Bride

I don't know about anyone else but THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY! I've had a super long and busy week with a major midterm and a major project I only finished at 10:15 a.m. this morning, literally 15 minutes before my first class. This of course was after 3 printer and 1 computer issue. I'm so tired! Luckily, this coming week is my reading week, and though I do have things I'll be working on, I also plan to do quite a few more posts to make up for my lack of late. But to start off some spring happiness (It's so warm here today, the snow is starting to melt! I can't believe it!) I have my first ever pink- yes, the one colour I never thought I would wear, let alone like- nail polish.
Orly's Kiss The Bride
Kiss The Bride is part of Orly's french manicure line, though I've used it as an all over cream colour. It's a very light pink- the colour that makes you think of the inside of puppy ears and bunny noses. And I actually really like it! Because it is so pale it does make my hands look tanner then they actually are but  the colour itself is light and feminine. Very delicate looking.
Also let me say the bottle design? Brilliant! Whoever came up with the rubberized cap idea should be knighted. Seriously, best idea in polish history! It was so easy to open and hold securely for painting!
Things in photo may appear paler than they are!
The formula for application was alright. I required three coats and could have done with a fourth one. The wear though has been phenomenal! The photos above and below were taken day 4 and 5 of my manicure. I have barely any tip wear and no chips! I'm so pleased! I'm not easy on my nails either, I'm constantly typing and in labs for school so I'm impressed to say the least.

Overall: Though the formula was average, the wear is fantastic! Plus I'm actually digging the colour (a feat I didn't think was possible). Plus the rubberized cap is a godsend!

Sprite Rating: 9/10 - Lost marks for the fact it's hard for me to get ahold of!

Would I buy this again? Yes. Even though I'm highly highly unlikely to get through a full bottle of pink polish, this was a great buy.

Retail Therapy for under $10

Ardell Glamour Lashes $6.96 CND- Zellars
Don't know about anyone else but my life has been pretty stressed out lately. So, in both the interest of stress relief and the upcoming christmas season either as gifts for friends or stocking stuffers here are some ideas. Above, fake lashes have been all the rage lately, there were a ton to pick from at my local Zellars from the blingy ones above to more subtle ones too.
Around $4.00 CND
I want to try these cream liners by Wet n' Wild. I've heard they are some of the best on the market and really cheap to get! Comes in 2 colours black and eggplant purple.
Wet n' Wild Color Icon Single in Envy
Approx. $3.00 CND
Love this and my Brule single by Wet n' Wild. So highly pigmented and wonderful!

Eye Shadow by Wet n Wild at ShopStyle
Walgreen's in the states (and online through clicking the image above) it's on for instead of the regular $4.99 USD, it's on for $2.49. YAY! Lovely pigmented colours with a great price.

Face Blush by Wet n Wild at ShopStyle
Another Wet n' Wild item on sale from Walgreens online at the moment, Pearlescent Pink Blush is supposed to be a less peachy dupe of Nars Orgasm though I've tried neither. But for $1.49 USD instead of $2.99 USD it's certainly worth a try!

Lip Pencils by NYX at ShopStyle
I love Jumbo Lip Pencils and these ones from NYX look nice don't they? $4.00 USD from Urban Outfitters.

Nail Polish by Orly at ShopStyle
Beauty.com has Orly polishes for $7.50 USD (clicking the picture will bring you right to them). Including their seasonal ones like Tis the Season (pictured above). I've heard a lot of good things about Orly polish and I really want the Galaxy Girl polish from the FX collection but I've yet to actually take the plunge (shipping has been the bane of my existence lately).

Gifts & Sets by China Glaze at ShopStyle

I had to add this! $9.99 USD from Sally Beauty this set is adorable! Look at that cute little reindeer! And the polishes are festive too!

Nail Polish by China Glaze at ShopStyle

And also from Sally Beauty for $3.99 Peppermint Cuticle Oil. I love that it's red tinted!

Annabelle Volume Lip Gloss is $8.59, non-sticky and very pigmented. (And the purple Poetic Mauve has a duochrome to it!)

What about you guys what are some of your favourite buys for under $10?
