Beaute Liqui-gel Stain in Fever~ Review & Swatches

I've finally gotten around to reviewing this little gem! I honestly can't believe how long I've had and loved this lip stain without doing a formal review. This is Beaute Cosmetics Liqui-gel Lip and Cheek stain in Fever. As you can probably tell I have loved mine so much that the writing on the packaging has rubbed off.
Fever is a bright true red, despite looking like a vial of blood in the tube. Now some of you may ask what is so good about this stain that sets it apart from all the other stains out there? There are two main pros for this product. First is the unique texture and secondly is the staying power.

The liqui-gel stains are quite unique in that they really do apply as a very liquid-like gel, giving you quite a bit of time to move it around- which is great if you are using this as a blush stain. This also means if you screw-up the line slightly if you are quick you can wipe the stain off and fix it. In addition the gel gives the stain a bit of a cushion making it feel nice on the lips- not nearly as initially drying as many other stains. You are still likely to need lip balm after a bit but not right away.
One coat of Fever

Two coats of Fever
Another great thing about these stains is that you can use them sheerly or layered for a bigger punch of colour. Layered it lasts longer of course but I love the sort of just nibbled look one sheer coat of Fever gives. You do need to wait between layers as the first layer needs to set, but it doesn't take too long.

One thing I don't like about these though is the taste. Yes, I'm aware that I'm not supposed to be eating these but some always ends up in my mouth anyways and these taste strongly and unpleasantly of alcohol until they dry down. The other small issue is that if you aren't careful when you apply these you could get some feathering.

But the thing that makes these fantastic is truly in how long they last. These babies aren't intimidated by pretty much anything. Fever may fade a tad but I'll still have a stain after a glass of juice, yogurt and an apple. Most lip items don't last well on me, but Fever does- I can actually get hours of wear with it whereas I get maybe two with some of my more matte lipsticks.

These are a tad difficult to get a hold of as they are a Canadian company but I ordered online through their website and didn't have any problems. They retail for $29 CND, and come in four shades: Harlot a purple-berry, Fever a bright true red, Flouron a medium-bright pink and Neon a bright orange.

I'm actually worried about running out of Fever as I'm more than half-way through it, and I normally don't even make it anywhere near that with all the lip products I have!

P.S. Not sure how long this code will work for but heiress2009 should give you a 10% off discount on the Beaute Cosmetics website.

Hebridean Sprite Rating: 9/10- Fantastic colour, texture, and longevity.

Would I buy it again? YES. Seriously adore this stain and I've been eyeing up the other shades (excluding Neon) for a long while.

10 Favourite Things for Autumn!

I don't know about everyone else but I adore Autumn, it's my favourite season. Late summer and early fall days are the perfect temperature for me, I love the jewel tones that start to come into play, and personally I think fall fashions are the nicest. Plus I adore Halloween. So you can easily see why I'm besotted. Plus who wouldn't want a warm drink by a cozy fire on the cooler nights?

Thus I decided to show you some of my favourite items, fashions, outfits, objects, scents and products for Autumn. Hopefully this will get you into the spirit of things :).

1) Haus of Gloi's Depravity Perfume Oil, Pumpkin Butter or Bubbling Scrub. This is so decadent and seriously my favourite scent for fall. Haus of Gloi really does describe it best: Pure corruption. Clove, nutmeg lurk amongst the sweetest offerings of coconut on a bed of rich golden amber, laden with dustings of sandalwood and spilled wine.
At first I wasn't sure I would like this, especially going off of the scent description, but blended together these all blend together to this spiced berry decadence. If this doesn't sound like something you'd like Haus of Gloi puts everyone else in the dust for their seasonal fragrances You can check out and find the perfect fall fragrance for you in the Seasonal Autumn release. Plus Haus of Gloi is completely vegan, well priced, and makes great products.

2) Wrist Warmers and Cuffs- This is the perfect time of year for walking, and if it is just a tad nippy out I love my wrist warmers. The ones pictured here are hand-crocheted but there are tons available. Leaves your fingers free to do things but much warmer. Plus I love the moss colouring of these- perfect for Autumn. The wrist cuff pictured is handmade by a local artisan too. You can check out her website here!
They have real feathers inside blown glass with soft stretchy lace- how cool is that?

Image from Something Swanky Website
3) Anything flavoured with pumpkin and spices. There are some awesome recipes online for new takes on the traditional pumpkin pie. This past week my family and I had pumpkin spice bread and pumpkin cheesecake dip. Fantastically yummy. You can check-out the super easy (and gluten-free) recipe for the dip at Something Swanky.

Some of my favourite fall shades from my stash
4) Warm, Jewel and Earth-toned Eyeshadows. Much like the changing leaves this is the time of year I love rich deep colours. If ever there is a time to get away with forest or dusk inspired eyeshadow looks it's now.
The eyeshadows shown above are: Nars eyeshadow duo in Cheyenne, Rouge Bunny Rouge Abyssinian Catbird, Rouge Bunny Rouge Delicate Hummingbird, Sugarpill Goldilux, Too Faced Poison Orchid, Wet n' Wild Color Icon Envy, Wet n' Wild Color Icon Lagoon, Wet n' Wild Color Icon Holiday palette in Bronze Goddess, Gosh Quad in Jamaica, Urban Decay lounge, Urban Decay Zodiac, Annabelle Lagoon, Venomous Cosmetics Look Your Best, Venomous Cosmetics the Walrus, Venomous Cosmetics Curse of the Werewolf, Fyrinnae Atomic Afterglow, Fyrinnae Pumpkin Fire, Fyrinnae Feisty Fennec Fox, Fyrinnae Polar Bear, Fyrinnae Bonfire Spirits, Fyrinnae Ravens and Writing Desks, Scaredy Cat Cosmetics Nevermore, Scaredy Cat Cosmetics Fomhar, Darling Girl Darling Ghoul Jack's Lantern.
The cream shadows are Hard Candy All Lid Up in Stepping Stones, and two Milani Shadow Eyez pencils in Sand Dunes and Brown Deluxe

5) Dark and warm lips- I love dark lips year-round but I feel it is easier to get away with during this time of the year. For me dark burgundy, dark plum and dark wine shades are my go to. I love Beaute liqui-gel stain in Fever for a dark red. To lighten a dark lip up a bit apply a gold gloss overtop. Completely changes the look but still has the depth and contrast. Warm firey shades are also gorgeous this time of year.
Pictured above is Nars lipgloss in Downtown a lovely shimmery plum (bottom right), Venomous Cosmetics Lip Poison (name washed off sorry!, bottom right above the Nars), Rouge Bunny Rouge Lip gloss in Rumba a rosewood pink (mid-right), Venomous Cosmetics Lip Poison in Hypnotize (middle near top). Annabelle Twist-up pencil in Cherry (top left), Beaute liqui-gel stain in Fever (top left), and finally an old gold lipgloss.

6) Rose, Red and Plum Cheeks- I love the look of flushed cheeks just coming in from the cold this time of year- especially blushes that achieve that look.
Pictured above I've got Darling Girl Darling Ghoul Blush tint in Just Bitten (top left), The Body Shop leaf patterned blush in Berry (just below the Darling Girl blush), Rouge Bunny Rouge cream blush in Cabana (coral-brown, mid-right side) and Nars Sin (top right).

7) Orange Nails- This is the only time of year I wear orange. Normally I'm not a big orange fan, but this time of year orange with a gold glitter or shimmer is just so lovely. Wet n' Wild Inferno nail polish is one of those shades.
Bum Warmer photo from Honey Bea Design
8) Bum Warmer- Yes you read that right. No it isn't nearly as explicit as it sounds. Basically here in Canada during the really cold fall and winter days any extra layer you can get away with you wear. Especially if you have to walk to school/work. These are made from sweaters with a cute flower design from Honey Bea Designs (You can check out this artisan's Facebook Page). I just slip it over my jeans or yoga pants like a stretchy mini-skirt and I am kept that much cozier while still having a stylish look.

9) The Smells- Okay I know this isn't really tangible but I have to include it. I love the scent of autumn. Woodsmoke and crushed crunchy leaves and a hint of frost. It's such a refreshing smell.

10) Sitting by the fire- On especially windy nights and chilly mornings getting cosy in front of the fire is such an awesome feeling. Top it off with a warm drink (with whipped cream!) and it doesn't get much better than that. :)

So does anyone else love this season as much as me? Excited to break out the sweaters and long-sleeved shirts? Let me know!

Stila Magnificent Metals Eyeshadows~ Swatches and First Impressions

The last time I was at Sephora I was instantly drawn to the new display for the Stila Magnificent Metals Eyeshadows. These are an insanely metallic and shiny eyeshadow formula with a sort of flake texture that is sort of sponge/cream finish. Very unique and unlike anything I've ever experienced before! I knew immediately that I needed to do swatches of the entire line for you all.

A couple things about application. From my experience (using my finger) these were easier to use the more liquid-like they were. The formula of these is identical between shades but as these come with a tiny vial of liquid primer it is reccommended to drop the liquid into the shadow pots. The amount you add the more liquidy they become. The easiest ones to use were the shades that people had added quite a bit of the primer too but not so much that the shadows became a runny goop. Also though it would be a pain due to the screw-top packaging I can totally see why they chose it because you wouldn't want to have the primer dry-out in the shadows between uses- it would be a huge waste of the tiny primer vial.

I didn't notice any other differences between shades other than the emerald shade stains like crazy. Which is sad because all the other shades were fine and I loved the emerald colour.

These retail for an insane $42 Canadian each (at Sephora) which includes one mini primer vial, one eyeshadow pot and one metal pan to mix in (which isn't really necessary in my opinion).

I swatched these two ways for you all, first on my fingers and then on my arm. Enjoy!

L-R: Metallic Cobalt, Metallic Emerald, Metallic Laurel

L-R: Vintage Black Gold, Comex Copper, Metallic Merlot
L-R: Comex Gold, Titanium, Comex Platinum

L-R: Metallic Lavender, Kitten, Metallic Dusty Rose
All together! T-B: Metallic Lavender, Kitten, Metallic Dusty Rose, Comex Platinum, Titanium, Comex Gold, Metallic Merlot, Comex Copper, Vintage Black Gold, Metallic Laurel, Metallic Emerald, Metallic Cobalt
B-T: Metallic Cobalt, Metallic Emerald, Metallic Laurel, Vintage Black Gold, Comex Copper, Metallic Merlot
B-T: Comex Copper, Metallic Merlot, Comex Gold, Titanium, Comex Platinum
B-T: Comex Platinum, Metallic Dusty Rose, Kitten, Metallic Lavender
L-R: Metallic Lavender, Kitten, Metallic Dusty Rose, Comex Platinum, Titanium
L-R: Comex Platinum, Titanium, Comex Gold, Metallic Merlot, Comex Copper, Vintage Black Gold
L-R: Comex Copper, Vintage Black Gold, Metallic Laurel, Metallic Emerald, Metallic Cobalt
As you can see from the swatches these are difficult to apply evenly. Like I mentioned before it was easier to apply these more evenly when they were wetter (such as with metallic merlot and comex platinum). All shades have the same sort of intense metallic finish, there truly isn't a difference I could see between shades as there sometimes is in ranges.

Overall I think these are really neat. I do think they'd take practise to use effectively as the flakes seem to go everywhere and a brush may be a better option than fingers- you may have to do some experimentation. At the price I'd put them as a luxury item to splurge on but if a shade really calls out to you I can see these making a statement look easily.

What do you all think? Are you intrigued?

No Bleeding Lips Review

Image from the No Bleeding Lips website

I so wanted to love this. I read a bunch of reviews about this clear lipliner and how it lasted and lasted. Plus I needed a clear lip liner. I have issues sometimes with my super dark lipsticks not staying within the lines ever-so-slightly. In addition I wanted a clear lipliner for the much raved about OCC lip tars which I am hoping to review soon. They will have to wait however as I seriously cannot use this.

The reason isn't because it doesn't work, it does but due to the ingredients and my super sensitive skin I can't suffer through wearing this for more than a couple minutes. You see the thing is it itches like crazy. I feel like I need to claw it off my lips with my nails. In fact I have to scrub it off with a face cloth. Asking some others the reason for this is due to the plethora of many evaporating ingredients in the pencil. I've listed the ingredients below if you are interested.

Silica, Synthetic Wax, Isododecane, Hydrogenated Polydicyclopentadiene, Polyglyceryl-10 Pentaisostearate, Hydrogenated Poly (C6-14 Olefin), Hydrogenated Polydecene, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Polybutene, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Propylene Carbonate, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-di-T-Butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Polyethylene.

On my (awkward looking) hand to show size
For those of you who don't have sensitive skin though this may work. It goes on easily and the thin tip makes it easy to line your lips. Though it looks white it is completely transparent, you can even layer it slightly to ensure you have your lips completely outlined and they say that it can help fill in lip lines. It has a nice twist up mechanism. Plus it's a good consistency it glides nicely but isn't so soft that it smooshes or comes off in chunks. No Bleeding Lips is also waterproof and said to be long-lasting.
The nicely sized tip
These are $15-$20 CND (I bought mine at Shopper's Drug mart for $20 where I can't return it and yet Sephora started selling it after this for only $15. Needless to say I'm not too thrilled.) You can check out the website here.

So for me and other sensitive skin girls this is a fail in my humble opinion. For more tough ladies (and gents) out there it may fit nicely into your make-up stash. And though it doesn't really count I don't like the name of it, all I can picture when I hear the name is chapped, sore, bleeding lips. Those hurt!

Hebridean Sprite Rating: 3/10. It does have an easy application and nice consistency but isn't a good formula for me.

Would I purchase this again? No, in fact I tried to return it but couldn't as I'd used it and I don't have the receipt any longer. Boo.

BECCA Ever Matte Primer~ Photos and Review

A little while ago I purchased Becca's Ever Matte primer in search (yet again) for a primer that would actually reduce the appearance of pores on my face and help keep me matte during the day. Primers are supposed to also improve the application and wear-time of your foundation too, but honestly I expect those things from my foundation to start with, for me I want a primer to help my skin look smooth and flawless (which if you don't know already, it's about as far from perfect as it can get sometimes).
I must say that although this primer is different than any other primer I've tried before I really like it. At first I was a little wary as this stuff is thick! There is a major trick to this primer and to get it to work.
See how thick it is?
Firstly you need to make sure you shake the bottle before use. Then you squeeze out the smallest amount and warm the product up between your fingers so it becomes more emollient. Then working quickly spread it onto the places of your face that get oily.

Due to the thickness of this product I don't recommend using it anywhere you don't get oily. I personally only use it on my nose, centre of my forehead in the middle of my chin and the top of my cheekbones where my pores are the largest as well.

I wouldn't say it makes my pores invisible as it says in the name but it does reduce the look of them and best of all it keeps me matte all day. Plus you need so little this bottle is going to last me a while.

Once it's on this feels almost powdery and satin-like. If you spread it thin enough you can barely feel it in my opinion though some people may find it too thick or film-like for them. To me it's a much nicer feeling than the oily feeling my forehead and t-zone becomes after a couple hours. Plus if you forget to put it on before your foundation it works just as well if you dab some on over-top.

In addition to this it has a simple ingredient list and is okay for my super sensitive acne-prone skin. The only thing in it that could cause problems is Butylene Glycol (a solvent and moisturizer) but it's only rated a 1 out of 5 on the comedogenic scale, the rest of the ingredients are all zeros. Plus there isn't any silicones in this either (a group of ingredients that causes my skin trauma).

Heres the ingredients list: Water, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Propylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Butylene Glycol, Enantia Chlorantha Bark Extract, Oleanolic Acid.

Unfortunately Becca is an expensive brand so if you're going to get this ( $44 CND for 1.35 oz) I recommend getting it on sale. You can get it from Sephora (they have biannual sales for Beauty Insiders getting 10- 15% off.) Dermstore stocks it as well and they occasionally have sales too. I purchased mine from Artisan Boutique online because they seem to have a 20% off weekend seemingly every other month (sometimes more). I sign-up for their e-mail to get sales alerts, so I got my Becca primer 20% off.

Overall, though this is a bit finicky to work with I love this product. For anything professional or occasion I want to look my best I can see myself using this. It can feel a tad much for casual days, but I can see this becoming a staple in my stash.

Rating: 9/10 This lost half a point for price and half a point for not perfectly concealing the look of pores. Other than that I really like this. Very unique, excellent ingredients, and it works so well.

Would I buy this again? Yes. I like this better than many of the other primers out there, plus it doesn't break me out which is a huge plus.

Rouge Bunny Rouge Eyeshadows~ Swatches and Review Part 3

Chilean Flamingo from Safari Sam Blog
Fire-tailed Sunbird from India Nature Watch
Fire-tailed Sunbird from Oriental Bird Images
This is Part three of my three piece Rouge Bunny Rouge eyeshadow review series. You can check out the other parts here: Part 2Part 1.

The last two shadow shades I'm reviewing are (as you can probably guess from either process of elimination due to part one or the pictures above): Fire-Tailed Sunbird and Bashful Flamingo. I included a picture of a Chilean Flamingo in this review because it is the exact colour of this eyeshadow. Normal flamingos don't compare colour-wise in my opinion. Bashful flamingo is a beautiful light matte pink with peach undertones. Fire-tailed Sunbird is a medium-light coral shade with a pink reflect.

I'm going to start out this review by being quite bluntly honest. I was disappointed with both of these shades. These were the two shadows of the ones I ordered that I was the most looking forward to and they just fell short by quite a bit.

First with Fire-tailed sunbird; it's so damn sheer. This takes forever to build up and you can't succeed at that task completely. Even as a highlight (which I was hoping I could get it to work as) it just doesn't have enough intensity. Maybe part of the problem is how pale I am but overall it just isn't enough. For such an expensive eyeshadow I can't believe how poorly this performs.

In the photos this one appears much oranger than it is. In real life it is a peach with a pink sheen. It is a nice colour combo- very wearable in my opinion. However due to it's lack of pigmentation or sheerness of something I can't seem to grasp the only way to get any decent appearance of the shade is over pixie epoxy. Out of all the shades I reviewed this one the one I was most looking forward too performed the worst.

As for Bashful Flamingo I truly think part of my issue is how pale I am. This blends into my skin completely. Like you can't see it, can only tell it's there is you lean into the mirror and squint and tilt your head until you see a powdery residue on my eyelid.

Therefore, I think I like Bashful Flamingo- it seems to create a slight diffusing/softening effect on my eyelid but honestly, I don't know. Unlike other nude shades I don't get that instant- oh that looks nicer- feeling when I apply it and I seem to need to build it up. It's a bit powdery which I don't mind but the lack of something just leaves me underwhelmed. I think I expected a more peach-pink soft loveliness and just got nude instead.

One thing to note about the swatches below- both of these shades I found particularly difficult to swatch and photograph colour accurately. I built up both colours as much as I could but I didn't have too much luck. Fire-tailed Sunbird is much pinker and bashful flamingo is a tad darker than it appears in the pan photo but much lighter than the swatch over pixie epoxy makes it appear. The barely seeable swatches are the best representation of these and you can see why I'm so disappointed.

L: Fire-tailed Sunbird (pinker in real life), R: Bashful Flamingo (pinker in real life)
L-R: Fire-tailed Sunbird then Bashful Flamingo swatched in pairs first over Pixie Epoxy,  Too Face Shadow Insurance then just over bare clean skin.
L-R: Paired Fire-Tailed Sunbird and Bashful Flamingo- Pixie Epoxy, Too Faced Shadow Insurance, Bare skin.
See the sad sheerness? And these weren't just a single swipe these were brushes loaded with eyeshadow swatched multiple times to build the colours up so you could see them.

As for comparisons the only shadow I had that I could think of that would come close to Fire-Tailed Sunbird was Fyrinnae's Rupuntzel Had Extensions and I couldn't find the shade for the life of me (and I really searched!) I don't have anything that comes close to Bashful Flamingo either (part of the reason I was so excited for both these shades- something unique). I have other brown-based nude shades but honestly swatching them side by side would be you just looking at my arm pretty-much with some skin looking a tad nicer than other bits.

Sprite Rating: Fire-Tailed Sunbird- 4/10, Bashful Flamingo 7/10. Both were too sheer and are a pain to build-up and pretty much work with in general even though the colours are nice and fairly unique and Bashful Flamingo had a nice feel to it.

Would I buy these again? No. Neither shade is worth the money or the hassle to get. I can't truly express how disappointed I was by these. Bashful Flamingo is a nice shade but as it just blends into my skin I can get a similar effect with a cheaper product. I'm sure the nuances of the shade here would be easier to see and appreciate on a darker skintone.

EDIT: After playing around with the Bashful Flamingo shade I realized it just matches my skin colour. It has a brown undertone to it that I didn't expect and so instead of the peach/pink I expected I got something closer to my skin colour. I've come to realize it is nicely pigmented (I just couldn't tell possibly because of bad lighting and certainly because I was expecting a different colour). Therefore I have increased the rating of the Bashful Flamingo eyeshadow shade accordingly. I can't really judge longevity on it though as it blends in too well.

Rouge Bunny Rouge Eyeshadows~ Swatches and Review Part 2

This review is going to feature Periwinkle Cardinal and Delicate Hummingbird.
To view Abyssinian Catbird and Resplendent Quetzal go to Part One!
Or there is Bashful Flamingo and Fire-Tailed Sunbird in Part Three.

Male and Female Northern Cardinals
Firstly for Periwinkle Cardinal. Gosh this name kills me. No Cardinals are Periwinkle in colour. None. There are 3 species of Cardinal, the Northern Cardinal as seen above, the Vermillion Cardinal a slightly orangey but still red cardinal and the Desert Cardinal seen below.
Desert Cardinal from E.J. Photo
As evidenced from the photos none of these birds are purple-blue (i.e. periwinkle). None of these birds are the green-blue of this eyeshadow either. WHYYYY?!!?!?
As a zoology major this bothers me. There are so many lovely birds that would fit this eyeshadow perfectly, even ones that are related to Cardinals such as the Indigo Bunting.
Indigo Bunting from Birds of Corpus Christi
Anyways, for this post we also have Delicate Hummingbird. This is also not named after a specific species of Hummingbird but I think we can all agree that Hummingbirds in general are rather delicate so I don't mind so much. Here are some photos of Hummingbirds that match the purple-taupe of this eyeshadow. See the purple-taupe bits on his belly?
Purple-Throated Mountain-Gem Hummingbird from Jim Scarff photography
Purple-throated Mountain-gem Hummingbird photo by Latafat Correa
So gorgeous!
L: Periwinkle Cardinal, R: Delicate Hummingbird
Periwinkle Cardinal is interesting as depending on the light it can look medium pine green with blue undertones, or blue with silver undertones. On the lid it's semi-sheer meaning it looks like your skin shows through the shadow at certain angles but not when you change the way the light hits it. If you build it up you can get a more intense look but it never quite covers your skin colour entirely. This allows it to be very wearable of course but is something to keep in mind if you like a more pigmented eyeshadow look. Personally for the depth of colour I was expecting something more pigmented as this semi-sheer consistency is better for a highlighter shade in my opinion. Delicate Hummingbird is similar in that sometimes it looks distinctly purple whereas other times it looks quite silver-taupe.
Left pair is over bare skin, middle is over Too Faced Shadow Insurance, Right is over Pixie Epoxy

As you can tell Delicate Hummingbird is the more pigmented shade. It's easy to build up and almost creamy in texture. It's also the longer lasting one, actually living up to the claim of long lasting. As with Abyssinian Catbird in the first part it seems to do best over bare skin for the long-lasting claim. Periwinkle Cardinal seems to fade over time, but lasts slightly more than Resplendent Quetzal from part one. It doesn't however last all day and it doesn't seem to do well over primer either.

T-B: Urban Decay Flipside, Hi-Fi Slime and Snails, Barry M Kingfisher, Rouge Bunny Rouge Periwinkle Cardinal, Too Faced Rich Bitch duo blue side, Wet n' Wild dark green from Snow Sprite palette, Urban Decay Misdemenor
As you can see none of these really comes close to Rouge Bunny Rouge's Periwinkle Cardinal. Too Faced Rich Bitch has no green tones and has a gold highlight, whereas Hi-Fi's Slime and snails isn't as deep has a duochrome and mini glitter as well as lacking green undertones. They all seem to lack the silvered sage look that Periwinkle Cardinal has too.
Top: Rouge Bunny Rouge Periwinkle Cardinal, Bottom: Darling Girl Serenity
Then thinking I was finished of course I found a closer shadow match for Periwinkle Cardinal. Darling Girl's Serenity is very close in tone and just a tad bluer. It's also sparklier whereas the Rouge Bunny Rouge shadow is more satin-metallic in finish. Honestly on the eye I think either would work.

T-B: Urban Decay AC/DC, Urban Decay Mushroom, Rouge Bunny Rouge Delicate Hummingbird, Scaredy Cat Cosmetics Arctic Royal, Almay Green Eyes Trio purple shade

Delicate Hummingbird I actually found a very close dupe for as well. Surprisingly it was in one of my old Almay trio palettes called Trio for Green Eyes. The purple shade (if you can get ahold of that palette, I think it was discontinued but may still be avaiable online in some places) is a satin, less silvered version of Delicate Hummingbird. Delicate Hummingbird has better pigmentation and is a tad more complex but they are very close.

Would I buy these shades again? Though I have a dupe of the Delicate Hummingbird I would purchase this shade again due to the lovely pigmentation it has the neutral but still fun shade of it and the decent wear-time. The Periwinkle Cardinal I would not purchase again however due to the strange semi-sheer consistency of it. If I wanted that it would be great but I was hoping for a richer more true to pan colour, as it is a lovely unique shade. The only way I can see myself wearing this shade is over Pixie Epoxy whereas at least with Delicate Hummingbird I can wear it without extra prep.

Sprite Rating: 8.5/10 for Delicate Hummingbird, 6.5/10 for Periwinkle Cardinal

What does everyone think? Do you like either shade?
