Annabelle Jungle Belle for Spring 2011

Though I’m late to the ball game on this one, Annabelle released their Spring collection about a month ago, and if you’re into orange and pink this is likely to interest you. Included in the collection are three eyeshadows all of which are trios. They all have overspray but the colours underneath I think are quite lovely as well.
Also included is a pencil liner, two liquid glitter liners, a leopard bronzer and two shades of lip gloss pencil.
The Leopard Bronzer is named after the title of the collection, Jungle Belle.
Personally although I like the Leopard Bronzer it’s too similar to the Too Faced version to be unique or interest me. Plus we’ve all seen bright electric blue liners before too.
The three eyeshadows as you can see are named Savanna Sun (a warm brown, a coral pink and a medium orange), Tropic Thunder (a medium bright blue, a dark blue and a light celery green), and Exotic escape (a light lavender, a baby pink and a medium grass green). Though not shown there are two glitter liners Amazonian a dark yellow-based green and Wild Blue a dark blue.
Lastly is the two gloss pencils- Florish and Fauvish, A bright medium orange and a pale yellow-based pink. These are $7.99 each.

So what do you think, do you like the looks of Jungle Belle or are you going to pass?

New Annabelle Day Dream Collection for Spring

Recently I made a quick stop into my local Rexall and I noticed that Annabelle had their new Spring Collection out, Day Dream. The collection features pinks with accents of orange, medium purples and turquoise. There is also a rather random bright Chartreuse eyeshadow shade as well. So, because I was rather impressed by the colours (and they had a bunch of testers!) I swatched the collection for you all!
I was impressed with two glitter liners from Day Dream. Most glitter liners I find are either a colourless gel with no pigment and really spread out glitter, or the glitter is too large, or they don't apply nicely. The dark purple one blew me away! I couldn't believe how nice it was, so pigmented and pretty! I totally should have picked it up, and I'm kicking myself for not!

Top to Bottom Left Column- Peach and Pink squeezy lip gloss tube shades. Berry-pink smudgeable eye pencil shade. Dark purple and turquoise glitter liners.
Top to Bottom Right column- Rose Pink, Periwinkle, Turquoise, and Chartreuse (named Day Glow) eyeshadow shades.

I don't know why/how I forgot to swatch all the different nuances of the new blush that came out with the collection, but I did. Here however, is a close up picture of it, and it's beautiful. The black lines are hard plastic separating the powders.
Look at all the pretty shades!
I do remember that the shades of the blush were really pigmented, so if you're looking for a neat new blush for Spring (and you're in Canada!) this one is one I'd most certainly recommend!

Prices for the collection range from $3.50 to $9.00 CND (without taxes). What do you think about the colours they chose for spring? Like something from a Day Dream or a living Nightmare? (hehehe)

Retail Therapy for under $10

Ardell Glamour Lashes $6.96 CND- Zellars
Don't know about anyone else but my life has been pretty stressed out lately. So, in both the interest of stress relief and the upcoming christmas season either as gifts for friends or stocking stuffers here are some ideas. Above, fake lashes have been all the rage lately, there were a ton to pick from at my local Zellars from the blingy ones above to more subtle ones too.
Around $4.00 CND
I want to try these cream liners by Wet n' Wild. I've heard they are some of the best on the market and really cheap to get! Comes in 2 colours black and eggplant purple.
Wet n' Wild Color Icon Single in Envy
Approx. $3.00 CND
Love this and my Brule single by Wet n' Wild. So highly pigmented and wonderful!

Eye Shadow by Wet n Wild at ShopStyle
Walgreen's in the states (and online through clicking the image above) it's on for instead of the regular $4.99 USD, it's on for $2.49. YAY! Lovely pigmented colours with a great price.

Face Blush by Wet n Wild at ShopStyle
Another Wet n' Wild item on sale from Walgreens online at the moment, Pearlescent Pink Blush is supposed to be a less peachy dupe of Nars Orgasm though I've tried neither. But for $1.49 USD instead of $2.99 USD it's certainly worth a try!

Lip Pencils by NYX at ShopStyle
I love Jumbo Lip Pencils and these ones from NYX look nice don't they? $4.00 USD from Urban Outfitters.

Nail Polish by Orly at ShopStyle
Beauty.com has Orly polishes for $7.50 USD (clicking the picture will bring you right to them). Including their seasonal ones like Tis the Season (pictured above). I've heard a lot of good things about Orly polish and I really want the Galaxy Girl polish from the FX collection but I've yet to actually take the plunge (shipping has been the bane of my existence lately).

Gifts & Sets by China Glaze at ShopStyle

I had to add this! $9.99 USD from Sally Beauty this set is adorable! Look at that cute little reindeer! And the polishes are festive too!

Nail Polish by China Glaze at ShopStyle

And also from Sally Beauty for $3.99 Peppermint Cuticle Oil. I love that it's red tinted!

Annabelle Volume Lip Gloss is $8.59, non-sticky and very pigmented. (And the purple Poetic Mauve has a duochrome to it!)

What about you guys what are some of your favourite buys for under $10?

Halloween Look! (and some extra Halloween items!)

Happy All Hallows Eve everyone!
One of my most favourite times of the year, when the veil between life and death thins and we dress up to confuse the demons who are up to no good! I've got my current vampy manicure, my make-up look for my costume, the pumpkins me and my mom did and the spiderweb cupcakes we made. Lots of spooky goodness in this post!

I painted my nails first with my base coat Gelous then two coats of Vampira by Eyeko. Then I took painters tape and taped across so only the tips showed and used Sephora OPI's Sample Sale for blood red tips on a very blood splattered and gothic looking nail design.
Showing the shimmer :D

Green slime and purple webbing blood splatter cupcakes! (Actually it's just buttercream icing and cherry chip cupcakes but they were fun to make!)
Here's my vampire look! My first time using false eyelashes I had to cut them in half to get them to stick on okay but overall I'm quite pleased.
My vampire teeth (I love these, no lisp and the look awesome!)
My vampire look :D (Some of the white eyeshadow has come off by this point but you get the idea). Here's what I used:
  • Annabelle matte eyeshadow single in Snowflake
  • Lorac oil-free illuminzer in pearl 01
  • Revlon dark red lipstain in Twilight
  • Mac Greasepaint stick in Greengrease
  • Wet n' Wild Holographic Silver glitter
  • Mac Vex eyeshadow
  • Gosh Waterproof eyeshadow cream stick in Love That Ivory
  • Kat Von D 500 point Sephora palette black sparkly eyeshadow
  • Fake Lashes from Life Brand
  • Urban Decay 24/7 Pencil in Zero
  • Fyrinnae Lip Lustre in Ghostly Voice
  • Quo Eiffel Tower lip gloss in burgundy
  • Cargo Activating Primer
  • Laura Mercier Secret Concealer in number 2
  • Make Up Forever Full Cover Concealer (forgot the number)

My Graveyard scene with the wind-blown tree branches!
And all lit up!
Mom's pumpkin topiary :D

Top lit up!
That's all for now! Hope you enjoyed, feel free to ask any questions.
