Mac Me Over Swatches Links!

Mac Me Over is the newest collection coming out from mac lately and there are a couple really neat looking items coming out with it! Personally I want all four fluidlines (which would cost me a hefty $80 CND- scream of horror!). Moleskin eyeshadow also looks lovely and the Lady Grey quad. Anyways, here are a couple of other blogs showing swatches of this upcoming collection!

Yuki's Lazy Channel has the full collection swatched both on skin and paper (but the text is in an asian language, so I can't read it just look!)

Hopelessly Addicted to Makeup has swatches up (all over her arm! Plus I just love her tattoo as well) she's also got a Part 2! for even for swatches. :D

The Shades of U has the Fluidlines and Shadesticks from the collection all swatched out for you too! She's also got the lady grey quad and single eyeshadows swatched and up too!

Vampy Varnish has got swatches up by sub-collection (all part of Mac Me Over but different displays)- Icelandic Cool, Mac Basics, and New Black.

Karlasugar has two sub-collections up and I'm sure she'll have the third one up in a couple days. For now though here is Icelandic Cool and Mac Basics. (I'll add her New Black swatches to this page when she adds them)

Morgana Cryptoria New Items!

If you aren't familiar with Morgana Cryptoria's lipsticks you should become familiar as soon as possible! They are vegan and super pigmented and long wearing. I've got two already Rose Plum and Absinthe and I love them both muchly :D. You can see my first impressions post here and I'll most likely be doing a formal review of Rose Plum lipstick soon. Morgana has introduced a brand new line of them the 1920's collection with awesome names like Speakeasy and Bee's Knees. Really awesome looking shades- very classy! You can check them out here and can see the full photoshoot of the collection done by Glitter is my Crack for the collection which is amazing. (Also she's having a giveaway of the whole collection which you can enter from that link too!)

New Lip Balms! And oh my god are they amazing! There are SOOOOO many to choose from and I want them all!!!! My favourite (and on my ordering list of things I want reallllllly badly) is the one pictured above Spellcaster. Isn't it amazing? My words can not even justify how much I want this. Purple and blue! Ahh!

Also she's got a bunch of other things in the works and coming soon too! Gel lipsticks, lip glosses, a couple new shades of vegan lipsticks Metallic Grape being one of those (plus some new shades she just released to the regular line- Lysette, Gargoyle, Medusa, and Totally Tubular which are already available). And in an eyeshadow collection that matches the lip balms called doppelganger lip balm shadows. So exciting! Morgana Cryptoria is just churning out the awesomeness isn't it?

GOSH Summer Collection

GOSH's summer offerings are all about the fun brights of blues and oranges. In the collection there are two eyeshadow cream trio palettes, two nail polishes, 2 cream blush sticks, 2 lipsticks and 2 liquid liners. Here's a closer look.

I didn't get the names of the lipsticks down (sorry!) but they are both shades of orange. This on is the brightest of the two with a slightly sheerer finish and a slight shimmer. Really punchy and bright!

This is the second lipstick, which on first glance looks much the same. However there are some differences to note. This orange is slightly more subdued and doesn't have a shimmer throughout. In addition it has a cream finish to it making it not as sheer as the previous one.

Orange trio cream shadow Palette

The orange trio cream shadow palette has a warm light bronze, a bright orange and a dove grey.

The blue cream shadow trio has a royal blue a steel blue and a lemon yellow. :D

The Cream Blush sticks are both shimmery but very finely. One is more coral-orange where the other is bronze-brown-orange. They were really small and cute.

Lastly (though not least) is the GOSH Artliners. One is in a bright Caribbean blue and the other (in the back) is a royal blue. At the front is just plain black. I've heard good things about these liners that they're pigmented and ware well but I haven't tried them myself yet. Loving the colours of these though!

Is your True Blood tasting a little Tarte?

Tarte one of the best natural companies has gotten together with HBO to create a small but heady True Blood collection- out just in time for the new season to start on Sunday. Not many of you know this but I  adore vampires so this is right up my alley! There are 3 limited edition items and they are currently only available on the Sephora website. The cheek stain (a sheer red with shimmer) costs $30 USD, the lip stain (still infused with that strong mint scent) is a iridescent red shade for $24 USD, and lastly is the eyeshadow palette that has 17 eyeshadows and black eyeliner, mascara and eyeshadow primer for $52 USD. 

At the moment it is only letting beauty insiders buy them but it's free to sign-up to become a BI so that isn't such a difficult thing to overcome. 

The 17 eyeshadow shades are:

- The Light (Shimmering Warm Ivory)

- Dusk (matte warm taupe)

- Dawn (Shimmering gold dust)

- Werewolf (Matte Chocolate)

I think most of the names are appropriate though I wish they'd actually named a couple of the shades with character names like Pam, Sookie, Eric and Godric. (Why oh why did you have to die Godric!) Also I don't really get why the palette has two black shades.

Anyways, tell me what you think? Gimmick or cool? Personally I'd love to get a chance to swatch all of these!

Afrobella has a video out here on YouTube that showcases her All Of My Purple Life lipglass shade (and sweetly thanking everyone for their support too!) This really gives you a great idea on how opaque the colour of this is.

The Shades of U has an awesome manicure done in OPI Smok'n Havana with the Sonoran Rain swatched beside the nails and it's an awesome match! They look great together!

Hebridean Sprite Beauty's 1st Birthday!

A year ago today I certainly didn't think I'd be here. As a sufferer of ADHD I have a sad tendency to start something and then get distracted by something else and leave things unfinished. However the wonders of make-up has persevered and Hebridean Sprite Beauty Blog has made it to it's very first birthday!
As something that started as a way to express my more creative side as well as my need to shout out my opinion and keep up my writing skills this blog has most certainly accomplished it's original goal. I've also been able to really interact with some other awesome beauty junkies, felt like I've accomplished something and even had a stress reduction outlet! I've learned a lot and I hope I've been helpful as well.

In the coming year I hope to keep doing what I've been doing. Reviews, swatches, deals, links and opinions. Hopefully at least one giveaway and survey, as well as some sparse animal posts. I'm sure there will be more too- I'd love to hear your opinions! What would you like to see?

As a side note my Fyrinnae order came today! Perfect timing it's like a little gift to myself for this anniversary! How cool hmm? I hope to have swatches up soonish.

As for the coming couple of weeks things are going to be hectic for me! We're selling our house and moving to a completely different city- so packing, painting, cupboard and counter renovations and more will be going on. I'll try not to disappoint though.

Bloggers Obsession Mac Collection Information

If you haven't yet heard, Mac is releasing a online exclusive collection this coming June 21st called Bloggers Obsession- a make-up collection based entirely off of the ideas of popular bloggers visions for some perfect colours.

Sephora for OPI Safari Luxe Collection

New out for Summer is Sephora's by OPI Safari Luxe Collection, a set of polishes designed after a Safari- which to me is super cool, as I was lucky enough to go on a safari as part of my zoology major. One of the best experiences of my life! Anyways, enough about me, onto the collection!

Included in the collection are 6 polishes, and 3 animal print themed nail sticker sheets. They cost $9.50 USD for the polish, and $15 USD for a nail sticker package. 

First up and my favourite of the collection is Caught with my Khakis Down. A rather unfortunate name, but a lovely colour. I own a Safari hat in this shade, and some shorts.... Right, no reminiscing! It's a greyed sage green cream shade, which I think is chic and modern without being bright. Work suitable comes to mind.

Next, is a similar shade to the first only a little lighter and with a shimmer finish. A Color That Can't Be Tamed is a pretty less sedate alternative to Caught with my Khakis Down.

Hate to break it to the OPI people but there is no purple this shade in the Serengeti. Or really any colour close to this. Named I Don't Bite, this is a medium to dark shimmery purple shade.

Another shimmery colour, this lovely orange is called Once a Cheetah Always a Cheetah. This name makes me giggle, and the colour is quite pretty. I think of course everyone could wear it but that it would look particularly stunning on those with dark skin. For a look at the shade The Polish Aholic has a swatch (and comparison to a similar Zoya shade) in the link above. 

Wild About Shimmer is up next, a light champagne (with a pink tinge). As stated in the name this one is shimmery, but also quite sheer.

Last of the polishes is Don't Feed the Hand Models. Personally I think they could have come up with a better name, but such is life. This is a medium to dark nude pinky taupe shade with a cream finish.

Finally, we have the nail stickers. These you press onto you nail and then trim to fit. There are three patterns in this collection, but I've included the Tiger print in the images above as it is the other animal print offered by Sephora. From top to bottom we have the Giraffe, Leopard, Zebra Leopard mix and then finally the odd man out the Tiger.
